Our first few days in kindergarten have been filled with joy, laughter, and exciting learning experiences. Here’s a glimpse of what we’ve been up to:
Being Learners: We’ve been practicing what it means to be learners in our school. From listening attentively during story time to practicing taking care of our belongings, our little ones are embracing their roles as curious learners.
We also had our first fire drill today and they did an amazing job!

Building Classroom Communities: Together, we’re creating a supportive and inclusive class community. Our students are learning about kindness, empathy, and the importance of working together.

Fun Games and Friendships: During playtime, we’ve played games that encourage cooperation and teamwork. Friendships are blossoming, and it warms my heart to see the children bonding.
As we move forward, I’m confident that this year will be filled with growth, discovery, and memorable moments. π
Important Reminders:
- Take-Home Folders: Please check your child’s take-home folder every night. Empty out any contents, and then make sure the folder is back in their backpack for the next school day. Several folders are full of papers from the week, which makes it difficult for the little ones to manage. Thank you for taking the time to clean these out and celebrate their hard work.
- Friday Folders: Every child, grades K-5, will bring home this blue folder every Friday full of important information from teachers, administration and/or PTA. Every other Friday a kindergarten team newsletter will be in the folder to help you stay up to date on all things kindergarten. We respectfully ask that you please note the section in the kindergarten newsletter about arrival to school next week. Your support and cooperation will help us start each day successfully.
- Cubby Pictures: Help your child choose a family picture for their cubby. It’s a fun way for them to personalize their space in the classroom! A detailed note about this, and what size frame you should send, was in your parent packet from Meet the Teacher Night. We want all children and families to feel included

- Daily Snacks: Remind your child to bring ONE healthy snack to school every day. Helping them pick just one item each day will help us in the classroom. No cookies, cakes, chips or candy.
- Just in Case bags: Please check your child’s just in case bag and make sure they haven’t used any of it, and if they have please re-stock their just in case bags and put them back in their backpacks.
- Dismissal Plans: If you need to change your child’s dismissal plan, please email me directly and also notify the school office before 2 p.m. daily. Safety first!
Thank you for your cooperation, and let’s make this year a fantastic one! πππ If you have any questions or want to share any stories about your child’s experiences, feel free to reach out. Thank you for being part of our kindergarten family!
