We had a great first day of Kindergarten!
I enjoyed getting to know your children today and look forward to our year together!
I hope they enjoyed their day as much as I did!
Kindergarten teachers |
My adorable class |
Learning all about our amazing playground & sensory path.
Then we play!!
Our principals, Mr. Woods and Mrs. Rogers, going over lunchroom expectations with us. We have 2 principals, 6 classroom aides and a handful of 5th graders to help us with following expectations and opening things during lunch.
We will be learning how to use all of our classroom supplies this week. Today we focused on how to use pencils. The students came up with the "can" and "can not" list.
We read the book No David by David Shannon and discussed good choices and poor choices at school.
We will continue to add to the board below all week.
We also discussed "Rachel Rug" who helps us remember our expectations when sitting at the rug. Sitting like this allows all friends to listen and learn.
We learned how to walk in the hall with "bubbles and tails."
Ask your child to show and tell you what this means and why we do this in the hallway.
If they are like their teachers, they will be exhausted tonight!
