Officially 1st Graders!

THANK YOU so much for an amazing school year! I loved being your child's teacher and appreciate the support from so many wonderful families! While I am always ready for summer, it is also so hard to let them go!  One of the hardest things about being a teacher is that we spend all year building a little family and then have to let them go.  I will forever remember them and I hope they will forever remember me!  I hope they always know that Ms. Concannon loves them and is so proud of them!

I have posted many photos on our class Facebook page the past couple of weeks so be sure to check those out! Here are a few more from our final days together.

I hope to see you all at our summer playdates!  Information on this came home in last week's Friday Folder.

Kindergarten Celebration

Thank you for joining us yesterday and celebrating these amazing kiddos!

I heard many of them say "this was the best day ever!".....along with when they said it on the field trips, 100th Day, Field Day, etc. HAHA!

5th Grade Walk

Today we watched the 5th graders take their final walk of Beulah Ralph Elementary before they head off to middle school.  This is a BEU tradition and in a few short years your Kindergarteners will be doing this! Grades K-4 lined the school and cheered them on!  You can see the video on the class Facebook page.

They celebrated their 5th grade graduation last night. Dr. Woods was surprised with his own "graduation" certificate since he is moving onto administration at the Aslin building for CPS next year.  Dr. Majerus, BEU's 1st principal, was a surprise guest to pass on this certificate.  A very special night for all!

Class Awards
We celebrated the unique qualities in our classmates today.  Every child is coming home with an award just for them!  We had fun cheering for our friends!

Fun with friends

The final stretch

I can't believe it was our last full week of Kindergarten!  It was jam-packed full of fun.  I have a few pictures posted in this blog post, but SO MANY more are posted on the class Facebook page.  There are simply too many fun photos to post here. Head on over to our class page and check them out!

Packmate of the Month: yay Ayla!  She was chosen, by her peers, as our May Packmate of the Month!  Congratulations to all winners during their Kindergarten year.  If they were not chosen, they will have many more chances during their school career at BEU. They are all amazing!

Pie in the Face: on Monday, the Top 4 sellers during the Shakespeare's Pizza Fundraiser were able to pie a teacher of their choosing in the face!  I received a pie in the face from our sweet Ayla, lol!  Mrs. Watson (4th grade teacher) and Dr. Woods also received the honor!  This was held at the end of the Monday Morning Meeting in front of the whole school. What a fun, and messy, way to start our week! Videos are on the class Facebook page.

Talent Show: the BEU Talent Show was held on Wednesday.  Student performances were during the day and a family performance was held in the evening.  We sure do have some talented friends at our school!  We saw singing, dancing, magic tricks, karate, musical instruments and even ventriloquists! One of our classmates auditioned and made it!  We are so proud of Embry for dancing in front of the entire school!  That takes such bravely and courage! The talent show is a BEU tradition!

Countdown to Summer: this week we shared things special to us on T for Treasure day, had fun building forts and working under our tables on U for Under the Table day, had a blast going to the beach and mountains on V for Vacation Day, got in some Cosmic Kids Yoga, a Go Noodle workout and a mile walk/run on the track on W for Workout day and autographed and received our yearbooks on X for eXchange autographs day.

Field Day: the rain held off for most of the day and we had a BLAST at field day!  A huge THANK YOU to Coach C, teachers and parent volunteers who helped make this day possible!  After field day the kiddos were exhausted so we spent the afternoon cuddled up with our friends and watched a movie, worked on our Kindergarten memory book and played.  A few photos are posted here, but I took close to 75 and they are on the class Facebook page.

More fun from our week...
