Welcome to Kindergarten 2021-2022
We've enjoyed getting to know our classmates and teachers.
We are working on learning school routines, expectations and procedures.
We read the books No David! and David Goes to School and discussed good school choices and poor school choices.
This week was a week of firsts:
*first library check out day (every Tuesday)
*first counselor lesson (twice a month)
*first crafts-torn paper name craft to work on fine motor skills and a Chester the Racoon puppet to go along with the book The Kissing Hand (first time using scissors went great!)
*first week of Fundations lessons (learning about letters, sounds & handwriting)
*first week of math lessons (length, shapes and counting)
*first time practicing in the cafeteria with Dr. Woods and Dr. Majerus
*first birthday celebration-Happy Birthday Quinn!
Most of all, we love to play with our new friends!
It's been a busy and fun week and a half! Your teachers are ready for the 3 day weekend!
